Powerflex brought choice and a new level of urethane quality to a fairly bland skateboard world in the 1970's. We did it again in 2017 with the release of the Powerflex 11 Gumball core! RockCandy Cores offer yet another choice. When Powerflex came onto the early skate scene, most companies offered few sizes and colors. Powerflex offered the 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 in a wide variety of colors. We had a wheel to satisfy ever skater on the planet. We had and have a great team and most of the greatest riders of skateboarding's pioneer era rode Powerflex. We are well on our way to doing it again. Google "Powerflex Skateboards" or "Powerflex Wheels" and you'll find some cool stuff, both past and present.
Bob Ballou, founder of Powerflex, and his brothers have teamed up with Jim Gray. Jim was a Powerflex Teamrider at 15, pro skater for G&s, Tracker, and Blockhead as well as founder of Acme Skateboards, Formula One Wheels, and many more. Jim has manufactured millions of skateboards and wheels, sponsored hundreds of skateboarders, and never stopped skating, and now is Powerflex's new ringleader and managing partner. Together, we decided it was time to make it happen again and bring fun, color, quality, performance, and a different perspective to the skateboard market. The response to Powerflex has been incredible.
Let the fun begin. Enjoy! These are poured in the highest tech urethane manufacturing plant in California!

About Durometer B Scale
Shore Durometer A Scale is good, but does not cover the entire range of skate wheel hardness and is very limited because the scale goes from 1 to 100 and anything over A 95A does not compute accurately.
Shore Durometer B Scale is perfect for skate wheels because:
- It is very similar to the A Scale, but reads 20 points lower, allowing the useful scale to be extended by 20 points, which covers the entire hardness range of skate wheels in one scale. It uses the same soft spring as the A Gauge, but the conical gauge needle of the D Scale.
- Because the spring is soft, the B Scale gauge needle does not puncture the skin of the wheel surface, resulting in the same reliable reading as the A Scale does.
104a = 84b
103a = 83b
