This photo of Jake was taken at The Dish skatepark, just up the street from Thrasher HQ, on October 5th, 1985. It was known as the Day of Hell, but this picture encapsulates the absolute freedom of skateboarding and it’s one of my all-time favorite photos of Jake. -Tony Vitello
